As lockdown measures became widespread in March and into April, we saw changes in the items and categories that US shoppers were interested in. Remember toilet paper panic buying? We saw searches for toilet paper increase by 169% as lockdown began. But searches for Coke were still more popular. Moving into April, we saw an increased interest in electronics, pet supplies and dollar stores. And the search for toilet paper subsided…a little.
