Easter Crafts in Under 30 Minutes

Easter Crafts for Kids in Under 30 Minutes [Video]

March 27, 2020

It’s true, we might be staying indoors this Easter, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate in style. With the extra time we have on our hands, why not shake things up with a fun activity that won’t break the bank and keep the kids entertained while stuck at home. By the time they're done, they’ll be hopping with joy.

Egg Carton Bunnies

Estimated Time to Create: 26 minutes (not including drying time)

Nothing says Easter more than these adorable candy holders covered in spring colors. These silly bunny characters are not only a blast to make, but are also super simple to whip up. This craft is mostly child-friendly, although we recommend that you precut the egg carton and let your child take over from there. We also recommend that you supervise your kids if they will be using hot glue. Otherwise, you can substitute the hot glue for Elmer’s glue.

What you’ll need:

  • Egg carton
  • Scissors
  • Acrylic paint
  • Googly eyes or small buttons
  • Masking tape
  • Construction paper
  • Felt
  • Elmer’s glue or hot glue
  • Pom poms or cotton balls

Easter Egg Bucket

Estimated Time to Create: 12 minutes

An easy way to add some cheer to your home and a smile to your child's face is with their very own personalized Easter basket. Why buy an overpriced basket at the store when you can create one at home that is tailored to the one who will be using it? First things first, check around the house for a small basket or plastic sand bucket, and use that as your base. Decorate it with some accessories like colored paper, foam lettering, hand-drawn pictures or with a few of the accessories from the previous crafts, and you’ve got yourself a one-of-a-kind basket for your Easter egg hunt. Again, we recommend that you supervise your child if they’ll be using hot glue.

What you’ll need:

  • Bucket
  • Googly eyes
  • Construction paper
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Pom poms
  • Pipe cleaners
